Upstate Community Acupuncture

Community Acupuncture:

Community acupuncture is the way acupuncture is traditionally practiced in Asia.

It is a place to receive affordable and effective acupuncture treatment alongside family and friends.

Together, we create a space where healing happens, both individually, and as a community.

Treating in a community setting has many benefits:

You can bring a friend or family member new to acupuncture with you and experience treatment together.

You will be treated in a comfortable reclining chair in the presence of other patients who are simultaneously receiving acupuncture.

Many patients find it comforting to be treated in the presence of others who are also receiving treatment.

Our group setting also makes acupuncture affordable. Most acupuncturists treating in a private setting charge $75.00 or more for every treatment. Due to the high cost, many patients discontinue care or extend the interval between their treatments, never realizing the full benefit that comprehensive care can achieve.

Upstate Community Acupuncture:

When we opened Troy Community Acupuncture in 2011, we were the first community acupuncture clinic in the Capital District.

Now known as Upstate Community Acupuncture, we opened our expanded East Greenbush office in October, 2014.

Our new Latham office opened in September, 2019.

We remain the only full time community oriented acupuncture clinic in the Capital District, offering an affordable sliding fee scale, like that offered in many other community acupuncture clinics across the country.

Like all modern acupuncture clinics we use very thin, pre-sterilized, disposable acupuncture needles for all of our treatments.
